Odds and Sods

I was away last weekend so no trap activity but a Heart and Dart that sat patiently through a meeting with a client yesterday. We were in the factory canteen and sat atop a chair until we'd finished ! Garden Carpet as well on the front door yesterday evening.

Mullein

The Mullein moths trapped a while ago were very pleasing but was more than a little cheesed off when I discovered a number of larvae tucking into my new Black Knight Buddleia !! Oh well, can't have your cake and eat it I suppose !

Washout

What a dreadful few days. Looking back April was a cracking month moth wise but now I guess I am paying the price. Brown Silver Lines was a tick the other day in a Leicester city centre car park. Only other moths were the first Cinnabar on May 26th and a handful of the micro Cocksfoot Moth at the reservoir on the same day. An immature female Common Blue Damselfly decided to make one of my fenceposts its roost site t'other night. Other than that little else to report other than a Hobby in Maun Valley Country Park in Mansfield Woodhouse on Bank Holiday Monday. Roll on June........

Boredom.............................

Weather of late has been absolutely dire ! No chance whatsoever of running the trap at all. I'm suffering from major withdrawal symptoms !!!
